I’m in line for the Marina and the Diamonds concert, and a woman had a mental breakdown right next to me. I offered to help but she recoiled away from me. I told her if she needed me to call anyone, I would, but gave her space in case I was scaring her. She walked away from me and everyone in line with me starting laughing. I was flabbergasted. They speculated why she was “tripping”. Security walked past me, laughing that “she was a terrible panhandler”. And it made me absolutely sick to my stomach. I hope someday they realize just what that girl was going through and how shitty those comments were. It wasn’t crying, it was wailing. It was fear. And they laughed, those vapid assholes.
